Accounts Officer - Medical Devices

Company Background

Our client is a global player in a niche medical devices market. They research, design & manufacture their specialty products and distribute them globally. The team in Australia is the Oceania hub. 

They have bright modern offices with a full service kitchen for employees, and ergonomic desk setups.

The organisation has a stable history dating back to the 1990s and you would be part of a growing, innovative technology business.

They don’t offer WFH but it's very reasonable working hours, with parking onsite in their South Sydney offices. Alternatively a 10-minute walk from the station.

You will have the opportunity to work as the right-hand person to the Finance Manager who is very experienced and will be an excellent mentor.  A smaller team means a broader range of tasks and the opportunity to take on more as you develop into the role! 

The Role

This Accounts role will have responsibilities covering:

• Manage all purchase orders, stock receipts and supplier invoices (stock and non-stock)
• Provide monthly reports for management of stock and oversee inventory stock level
• Assist with accounts payable processing and payments
• Debtor collections
• Handle customers’ accounts queries and work across the business with operational staff
• Manage all service-related quotes and invoicing in a timely manner

Your Background

This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of work experience looking to pursue an accounting career.

You must meet the following criteria to be considered for this role: 

• Have excellent English communication skills
• Have full working rights to work full time in Australia 
• Have some accounting experience, ideally some basic experience with invoicing (AR/AP)
• Either studying or degree qualified in commerce or a related field
