Accounts Officer - Property sector

The Role

This Accounts Officer role will work in a medium-sized finance team and report to the Financial Controller. Initial responsibilities will be:

  • Input and code invoices to the correct cost centre
  • ​Send invoices to the Manager for payment approval
  • Schedule pay runs based on standard company payment terms
  • Verify and process employee expense claims and manage the approval and payment process
  • Perform reconciliations including supplier statement reconciliations, credit card reconciliations and more
  • Support the month-end process by providing supporting documentation for month-end journals
  • Generate rental invoices to tenants on a monthly basis
  • Allocation of income to the correct business entity
  • Reconciliation of AR ledger, bank accounts & any other payments.
  • Following up on payments with customers & tenants where required

Your Background

This is a great opportunity for an experienced AR/AP Officer who is looking for a stable company and the opportunity to take on more responsibility. To be considered, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Excellent English communication skills
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Accounts Payable and Receivables
  • Eager to learn more
  • Intermediate level ability in Microsoft Excel – Vlookups & Pivot tables 
  • A tertiary degree would be highly considered or a Diploma
