Our client is a well-established financial services organisation that is about to enter the next phase of growth. They have a fast-paced, sales-feel environment. They are currently hiring a number of new roles to bolster the team as they enter the new chapter of growth. They are also investing heavily in new tech platforms to support that which will automate some finance processes.

The Role

This Assistant Accountant role is going to provide you with an amazing training ground, in a fast-paced environment with excellent technical mentors. 

The current role will be involved in the following tasks. However, if you show great aptitude to learn, much more can be added!

• Working with the overseas AR and AP officers to ensure accurate GL coding and entry of invoices
• Work with the local team to ensure invoices are approved for payment
• Work with the brokers/sales teams to raise invoices for clients
• Bank reconciliations
• Credit card reconciliations
• Processing corporate travel expenses
• Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and other month-end tasks

Your Background

Our client is looking for someone who:

• Is outgoing, confident and loves working in a fast-paced, social environment 
• Is a minimum degree qualified in Accounting
• You must have a minimum 1 year of accounting experience, and ideally, no more than 4 years as this is an entry-level role
• Excellent communication skills
• A visa to work permanently in Australia. If you are on a 485 visa, you will need to demonstrate you are working towards permanent residency.
