Temporary Assistant Accountant - CBD

The Client

Our client is a fashion retailer with global operations. The team are currently experiencing a period of growth and seeking a talented Assistant Accountant to support them through to year-end and potentially longer term. No WFH on offer, but located in the CBD with great transport links.

The Role

Your role as an Assistant Accountant is a full-function opportunity, working closely within an elect finance team of 5 and other non-finance stakeholders in the business. You will report directly to the Finance Director and be responsible for: -

• Mid-volume accounts payable
• Generating invoices and receipts
• Bank & balance sheet reconciliations
• Journal posting (i.e. accruals, reconciliations, prepayments, etc.)
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Assisting in the preparation of P&L

Your Background 

To be considered for this Assistant Accountant position, you will have the following skills and attributes: -

• Available immediately
• 2-3+ years’ experience in similar roles
• Strong reconciliation experience
• Degree qualified and/or working towards CA/CPA
• Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables)
• Open to being hands-on across transactional and month-end
• SAP experience is highly desirable
