The Company

Our client is a well-known service-based provider with over 50 branches across Australia. As a leading not-for-profit provider, this organisation plays a leading role in the community. 

Based in their Hills district office, you will report to a talented Senior Financial Accountant who will offer support and mentorship. You’ll join a fantastic team of people highly motivated by the organisational mission. 

The Role 

The responsibilities of this Assistant Accountant role will include, but not be limited to:

• Accounts Payable (verifying invoices, payment runs)
• Accounts Receivable (debtor reconciliations, low volume collections)
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Audit support
• Month-end assistance including journal posting

Your Background

To be considered for this Assistant Accountant role, you should meet most of the following criteria: 

• Prior experience in AP & AR
• Intermediate Excel skills 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Australian accounting degree 
• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident 

Prior experience in a not-for-profit business will be highly regarded.
