The Company

Our client is a successful, Australian-owned and run Property company located in lovely offices in the Sydney CBD. They are currently on the hunt for an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. On offer is a friendly and upbeat office culture and a manager that loves to mentor and develop his staff. Joining a team of this size will allow you to not only take ownership of your tasks but will also provide you with exposure to other interesting projects and involvement in assisting with commercial activities from time to time.

The Role 

As the Assistant Accountant, you will report to a CFO who enjoys developing and mentoring his team. Your duties will include:

• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Cashflow forecasting
• Journal posting
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable 
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements 
• Assist with budgeting 

As you continue to grow and become more confident, you will be given more responsibilities. 

Your Background

As the ideal candidate for this Assistant Accountant role, you must fulfil the following criteria: 

• Some prior experience performing transactional accounting tasks
• Accounting Degree and CPA/CA part qualified or plans to study towards
• Full Australian working rights
• Excellent  written and verbal communication skills
