Company Background

Our client is a “for purpose” business who focuses on bettering the lives of people living with impairments all across the Sydney area. They are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team, supporting the Senior Financial Accountant and CFO across a range of day-to-day financial operations.

The Role

As the Assistant Accountant you will focus on:

• Processing payments
• Maintaining supplier relationships
• Managing expenses
• Assisting with month-end (journals and reconciliations)
• Assisting with statutory returns (BAS, FBT)
• Supporting the CFO with operations e.g. assets, fleet management, toll accounts

Your Background

To be considered for this Assistant Accountant role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Immediate availability
• Prior experience with both month-end support and accounts payable
• Degree qualified as a minimum, preferably having started a professional qualification
• Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables)
• Experience with expense management systems is desirable
• Experience with MYOB is desirable
