Commercial Finance Manager - Healthcare

Company Background

Our client is a growing healthcare organisation with a passionate team of like-minded professionals.

They have been expanding over the past few years, and have hired some great finance & operational leaders to help them lead from the front in their industry. You would work with an enthusiastic and passionate finance leader who loves automation and good systems. Many of these are already in place, but need a strong Finance Manager to utilise them to their full potential.

As they enter their next growth phase, they are looking for a great commercially focused 2iC to the CFO who can provide meaningful insights, visualisations and support presentations to the board.   

This is an environment for someone with strong initiative, who likes a faster pace, and who can work autonomously to provide value-add insights and ways of working smarter! 

The Role

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing 2 finance staff and reviewing all related tasks to ensure the timely reporting for all deadlines.
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Assisting the CFO prepare for board meetings with robust financial data. 
  • Utilising PowerBi and MS ERP to create automated reporting dashboards, visualisations etc.
  • Assisting with the preparation of information for the Finance & Risk Committee meetings.
  • Analysis and modelling on key service agreements – revenue, trends and potential impacts.
  • Value add projects as per ongoing business needs.

Your Background

What do you need for this great opportunity??

  • You will be CA, CPA, and CIMA qualified.
  • You have worked, or are currently working in an Aged Care, NFP healthcare services or similar organisation.  They have a strong preference to hire someone who has an understanding of the challenges of their sector.
  • You have advanced Excel skills and some practical experience with PowerBi. You don’t have to be an expert with PowerBi yet, as long as you are open to honing these skills!
  • You have supervised staff and are able to coordinate month end.
  • A commercial flavour to your resume, business analysis, scenario modelling, value-add projects and achievements is what the hiring manager will be looking for.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to sit in on board meetings to confidently present your findings.
