Company Background

Our client is a very well-established marketing agency that has a strong reputation in the industry.  They have had over 50 years in the Australian market, with a very stable & loyal client base.  They service some of the largest household names you would recognise, as well as smaller SME businesses. 

They offer an open plan, creative & collaborative working environment, and excellent management who are friendly, engaging and approachable. The direct manager for this role has been with the business for over 10 years!   

The Role

This Credit Manager role would have full ownership of the credit/collections function across the entities of the group.

• Managing over 1000 accounts. The majority are on direct debit payments so running these on a monthly basis.
• Preparing journal entries, credit notes and assisting with month-end
• Formulation of the company's credit policy to mitigate unnecessary risk
• Review and report on Aged Debtors
• Regularly meet and negotiate terms with third-party debt collection agencies for debts 90 days +
• Manage write-offs, bad debt provisions and setting up of payment plans.
• Preparation of statement of claims for liquidators
• Assisting the broader accounts team with debtor reporting and entries for month-end
• Regularly reviewing the process and procedures to reduce debtor days

Your Background

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Credit Manager with strong collections experience.

We are looking for someone who can work in a sole-charge function within a finance team with confidence.

You will be outgoing, friendly and an excellent team player with good longevity in your roles on your resume.

You must be able to provide debtor reporting, work with legal, and organise payment arrangements with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication skills are essential!
