Credit Team Leader - Manufacturing

The Role
This will be a critical credit team leader role within the business. You will have 3 direct reports and be responsible for ensuring accounts are credit worthy, and work alongside other departments to ensure cash flow and minimise debts.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Mentor and manage a credit team of 3 people.
- Review and evaluate applications for account openings, credit limit adjustments, or any other modifications to credit terms, ensuring compliance with the Credit Policy.
- Support the Sales Department in maximising sales by ensuring that customer accounts remain creditworthy and that credit limits align with the customer's sales needs.
- Continuously monitor the performance of all customer accounts to ensure optimal collections and that all accounts are settled in line with agreed terms.
- Regularly review the credit limits of established accounts to ensure they remain creditworthy and that the limits are sufficient to support ongoing trade.
- Propose policy changes to the Financial Controller (ANZ), ensuring that any updates are documented, communicated effectively, and adhered to by employees.
- Generate and assemble different credit reports pertaining to credit applications.
- Continuous innovation and streamlining of systems in place.
- Ad-hoc reports and duties as required.
Your Background
To be considered for this Credit Team Leader position you will meet most of the following criteria
- Have a Degree in Accounting/Finance or an equivalent relevant certificate.
- Experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivables.
- Proven examples of process improvements/achievements on resume.
- An excellent attitude to challenge the status quo, with great written and verbal communication skills.
