Our client is highly respected in the Arts industry, with almost 50 years in business. Based in fantastic, vibrant offices in Central Sydney, they have mementos of their work, awards and tributes to the industry clearly on display. You will have your own office, but from time to time may have to share with the office dog that has the run of the house!
The team is smaller & close-knit. They rely heavily on this role to ensure the smooth running of the agency, and that all their long-term clients feel cared for & have an available point of contact for queries.
This role will support the business by taking ownership of the following tasks:
Our client is eager to hire someone who has experience working in the Arts or a creative agency. It's key you understand talent payments.
You are most likely to be a Finance Manager, Company Accountant or senior level Bookkeeper who has worked in a relevant industry and is happy to be in a very hands-on role.
This is not a technical accounting role, so there is no requirement for a CA or CPA. It's probably more suited to someone who has learnt their way up from an entry-level role and loves working in the industry.
In person you are mature-minded, down-to-earth & a problem solver. It's key you have that unique ability to break down financial information to non-finance stakeholders!
A passion for the Arts is highly desirable.
