Company Background

Our client is a privately owned professional services firm with a strong history in Australia. They are embarking on an exciting period of growth in 2025 and beyond, expanding both their local and international operations.

Due to internal change, they are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the team, working closely under an experienced CFO, to lead a small team of qualified accountants and own the financial operations and reporting for the business.

There is the opportunity to work from home two days per week, once you are settled into the role, and feel confident in the duties and day-to-day running of the team.

The Role

As the Finance Manager you will focus on:

• Overseeing the financials for NSW, VIC, QLD, ACT and International entities
• Managing and supervising a team of 3
• Leading month-end and year-end closing
• Overseeing payroll, handling escalations and queries
• Handle audit queries as the main point of contacts

Your Background

To become a valuable member of the finance team, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• Immediately available
• Professionally qualified (CPA / CA etc.)
• Prior experience as a Finance Manager, or a Senior Financial Accountant with team management experience
• Comfortable being hands-on with the general ledger
• Strong understanding of Payroll and Awards
• Experience within professional services is highly regarded (legal, consulting, engineering, media etc.
