The accounting team of five is led by a personable and approachable CFO who runs a well-oiled function with a relatively flat structure where collaboration and teamwork are a key focus.

The Role

This multi-faceted Finance Manager position is appealingly broad and will play a key role in the accounting team. Reporting to a talented CFO, you will use your strong accounting knowledge to take ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Playing a key role in the preparation of financial reports from an actual, budget and forecast perspective, which can include but is not limited to:
    • Month-end journals, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations
    • Fixed asset register, investments register, intangibles and leases
    • Intercompany transactions
    • FX transactions
    • Consolidations
    • Daily banking, debtor and creditor transactions, staff expenses and credit cards
    • Expense and variance analysis
  • Finalising financial reports from an actual, budget and forecast perspective
  • Administering and developing the ERP alongside the external Consultants to ensure insightful and best practice reporting is achieved
  • Cash management, including preparation of both statutory and management cash flow reports and cash forecasts
  • Maintaining and documenting internal control systems, procedures, and financial policies to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards and other relevant regulations
  • Financial monitoring for AFSL purposes
  • Assist with tax compliance
  • Assist with annual audits and interim reviews including liaising with external auditors
  • Mentoring junior staff members and helping them to learn and evolve
  • Assistance on ad hoc projects

Your Background

To be considered for this Finance Manager position you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Professionally qualified (e.g. CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA etc.) with prior exposure to the aforementioned tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to liaise confidently with stakeholders
  • Eager and able to take on a broad role in a finance team of five staff with a flat structure where you can maximize your exposure
  • IT literate and systems savvy with strong Excel skills
  • Those making a first move out of a Chartered environment auditing relevant clients OR Senior Financial Accountants, Financial Reporting Managers or equivalent from financial services, are encouraged to apply.
