Company Background

Our client is a leading Australian renewables company that has been going from strength to strength since inception, backed by one of the world’s largest infrastructure players. Due to internal projects and team movement, they are seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team for an initial 6-month period.

The Role

As the Financial Accountant you will work closely with the Group Finance Manager, focusing on: -

• Taking a lead on month-end closing; reconciliations and GL maintenance
• Work closely with Group Finance to ensure data is reflected in the consolidated financials
• Partner with non-finance stakeholders to interpret asset-related financial data
• Depreciation and amortisation management
• Reporting and analysis (Assets, CAPEX, ad-hoc)

Your Background

To be considered for this Financial Accountant role, you will have the following skills and attributes: -

• Immediately available
• Professionally qualified (CA / CPA) 
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, GAAP)
• Experience within or exposure to CAPEX-heavy industries is highly regarded
• Strong communicator – confident communicating with finance and non-finance stakeholders
