Company Background

Our client is one of Australia’s leading professional services firms within their specialty field, with a strong footprint across the APAC region. Due to a period of leave, they are seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team on a longer-term temporary basis.

The Role

As the Financial Accountant you will work closely with the Finance Manager, focusing on: -

• Driving month-end closing processes
• Journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing FBT returns
• Variance analysis
• Assisting with budget preparation
• Assisting with system implementations and new procedures

Your Background

To be considered for this Financial Accountant role, you will have the following skills and attributes: -

• Immediately available
• Part-qualified as a minimum
• Prior experience taking a lead on month-end closing
• Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables)
• Strong technical knowledge (IFRS, AASB)
• Experience with tax (FBT, payroll etc.)
• Multi-currency experience is highly desirable
