Our client has an excellent reputation in their niche within the FMCG industry. They are an Australian success story who more recently have been through an acquisition and are now entering a new commercial chapter.

The Role

This Financial Analyst will be responsible for:

• New product costing and general product costing and analysis, working closely with sales & marketing.
• Take ownership of pricing and rebate models.
• Business case models to provide financial insights to support decision making.
• Reviewing sales figures & providing data analysis for incentive plans.
• Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
• Collaboration with and support of cost centre managers to drive optimal cost outcomes.
• Assist with improvements to data analysis tools & visualisation including the rollout of a new implemented software.
• You would also help the wider finance team with month-end tasks where required, balance sheet reconciliations, journals etc.

Your Background

This is a great opportunity for either an experienced Analyst who is keen to expand their skill set in an autonomous role, or an Accountant with advanced Excel skills who can demonstrate the following:

• Advanced Excel skills including modelling. Ideally, you have experience with three-way modelling but this latter part is not essential.
• Experience with a BI Tool, such as PowerBI or similar.
• Have worked in FMCG or a product-related business and have examples of price analysis & costing on your resume.
• Very strong English communication skills and the ability to explain data and insights to non-finance such as sales & marketing
• Finally, you have a great attitude, strong initiative and will show enthusiasm for new ideas.
• Although you do not need to be CA or CPA qualified, it is preferred you have had a foundation in an Accounting career.
