Our client has a great reputation as a services business which started in Sydney and they have been established for over 40 years. With operations across Australia and with the backing of a recent investor, this organisation has exciting plans for the future.

This is a newly created role that will report to a talented CFO who is a great mentor and they are looking for someone who can be the future CFO.

The Role

As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

• Full ownership of financial and management reporting including consolidated group reporting
• Budgeting & forecasting and business partnering with stakeholders
• Cashflow management and forecasting
• Analytical work including acquisitions 
• Process improvement identification and implementation
• Ensure all compliance requirements are met including audit, statutory reporting and tax liabilities 
• Manage key relationships including auditors and investors
• Projects including implementing a new ERP and putting in place automation of processes

Your Background

To be considered for this Financial Controller position, you should have the following skills and attributes:

• CA or CPA qualified
• Excellent Financial Controller/Finance Manager experience, or could be a first-time mover from a Chartered Firm
• Experience working in a growing environment where you have had exposure to projects
• Demonstrated strong leadership skills including managing a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident and collaborative working style, eager to partner with internal stakeholders
