Our client is a well-established professional services business with an excellent reputation and continued growth plans. 

They are a well-established medium-sized enterprise with over 150 staff and a presence across Australia and New Zealand. They have plans to continue their growth and expand their market presence in already established markets and services.

As a business, they offer a hybrid working arrangement and strive to ensure a warm and collaborative environment for all staff.

The Role

Reporting into a talented CEO, your role as Head of Finance will enjoy an appealing breadth of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Manage, train and mentor a finance team of 7 
• Management and oversight of the whole finance function while being hands-on with reporting, budgeting, forecasting & analysis
• Business partner with non-finance stakeholders to understand performance
• Work with the leadership team on growth & strategy including modelling business opportunities
• Oversee and drive projects across a wide range of functions from systems to pricing and growth
• Document and formalise processes
• Continuously search for ways to automate and enhance processes

Your Background

In order to be considered for this Head of Finance opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

• Professionally qualified as an Accountant (e.g. CA, ACA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Relatable industry experience is a pre-requisite (e.g. Legal, Consulting, Professional Services etc..)
• Track record of driving improvements and projects including making processes more efficient and system implementation
• Prior staff management experience
• Have worked in a medium-sized enterprise in a broad, hands-on finance role previously
• Be a strong communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to liaise with stakeholders, motivate your team, present with confidence and build relationships
• Possess a strong work ethic coupled with exemplary attention to detail
