Our client is an established global insurance organisation based in Sydney CBD. They have a very team-orientated, professional culture and have built a great business over time. As the Part-time Payroll Officer, you will be working in a high calibre and friendly team environment and report to a talented Financial Controller. On offer is a:

• Hybrid working arrangement model
• Flexibility to work 24 hours across 3, 4 or 5 days 
• Bonus annual leave days

The Role

This is a permanent part-time role (24 hours per week) suited to an experienced payroll candidate. Your duties will include: 

• Working with an outsourced payroll provider to manage the payroll of 170 staff 
• Calculate terminations and set up new starters 
• Handle and manage deductions 
• Manage payroll tax 
• Calculate sick leave, annual leave, long service leave 
• Comply with relevant awards and legislation
• Assist employees with any payroll, superannuation or leave queries

Your Background

Our client is looking for a candidate who wants to work a part-time role of 24 hours per week and possesses the following attributes:

• More than 5 years of experience in Payroll
• Excellent communication skills 
• Enjoy collaborating with an outsourced payroll provider
• Full working rights in Australia 
• Professional services industry experience would be advantageous
