Part-time Payroll Officer - Healthcare - North-West

Company Background

Our client is a rapidly growing organisation providing healthcare services to the members of our community who need it most.

They have been expanding at a formidable pace, and are hiring the staff and implementing new systems to facilitate this. You would work with an enthusiastic and passionate finance leader with training and career development. 

They offer work from home 1-2 days a week. It’s a very collaborative friendly team with great career and learning opportunities. 

The Role

This Payroll Officer role will report to the HR Manager and work closely with finance, who will act as a back-up for this role.

  • Review of weekly rostering hours to spot any issues, variances or things to be communicated to management
  • Review of timesheets for 120 casual staff – all uploaded automatically and award calculation by an advanced system
  • Preparation of salaried payroll for 120 staff
  • Payrun fortnightly with associated payments such as superannuation and workers compensation
  • Please note the payroll accounting – tax, journals etc. is completed by the finance team, but you will assist with information so this is completed accurately.

Your Background

What do you need for this great opportunity??

  • At least 3-4 years of payroll experience
  • You MUST have experience with Rostering. Able to review timesheets and refer back to a roster to ensure the correct awards are being paid.
  • Aged Care, Not-for-profit experience or similar is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills to work with stakeholders across the business
  • You must be living in Australia to be considered for this role as we need an understanding of local payroll legislation
