The Role
Supporting the Finance Manager your responsibilities will be:
- Ensure the timely and accurate payment of all payruns for all employees on a weekly and fortnightly basis for 2500+ employees
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process and proactively locate ways to maintain payroll system integrity
- Provide leadership, guidance and supervision to a team of 5 payroll officers
- Stay abreast of changes in payroll legislation, tax regulations, superannuation requirements
- Assist Finance Manager in developing and maintaining payroll policies, procedures to be in line with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives
- Provide guidance and support to the team in resolving/reviewing complex payroll calculations and transactions such as bonuses, commissions, variable pay and terminations
- Develop and run payroll reports for multiple stakeholders including financial reports, leave reports, and payroll analytics
Your Background
The hiring manager is looking for candidates with the following experience:
Essential
- Staff management of at least 3 officers
- Senior level of payroll experience 7/8 years +
- Strong ability to interpret EBAs and adhere to industry Enterprise Agreements and awards across states
- Great communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to stakeholders
Highly desirable
- Experience in systems or project transformations on your resume
