The Role 

In this Senior Accountant position, you will oversee (but not directly manage) the finance department and report directly to a talented Finance Manager. This is a broad, hands-on Senior Accountant position and your duties will include but not be limited to the following:

• Mentor and be the point of contact for two team members
• Taking ownership of the regional function which will include full P&L management
• Analyse sales data and summarise financial information to prepare interim management reports and trial balances
• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 16 Lease Accounting
• Support the Financial Manager in fulfilling all financial and statutory reporting requirements
• Oversee both short-term and long-term incentive programs
• Daily bank reconciliation, cashflow management, month end duties
• Process improvement and driving automation initiatives

Your Background 

To be considered for this Finance Manager role, you will be a qualified Accountant (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and will meet most of the following criteria: 

• Have experience managing a P&L
• Ideally from a product based or inventory heavy industry
• Have worked in a similar capacity (Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant or equivalent etc.)
• Proven examples of process improvements/achievements on resume
• An excellent attitude to challenge the status quo, with great written and verbal communication skills
