Due to their continuing rapid growth, they are looking for a Senior Financial / Management Accountant to join their high-performing, forward-thinking finance team.

The Role

Reporting to a talented and experienced Financial Controller who thrives on watching his team develop, you will have the opportunity to grow both your skillset and career.

You will be the second in charge of running the day-to-day finance department and be a ‘go-to person’ for multiple internal and external stakeholders. Your remit will continuously evolve and will see you enjoy progression and learning opportunities.

Your role as a Senior Financial / Management Accountant will play a key position in the team. Key initial duties include (yet, certainly not limited to):

• Be the right-hand person to the FC who will involve you in a range of tasks and keep evolving your responsibilities to ensure the right blend of challenge and progression
• Leading month-end close for a group of entities
• Prepare and post month-end journals including prepayments, accruals etc. 
• Preparation and reviewing of balance sheet reconciliations
• Business partnering with internal and external stakeholders including Project Managers, General Managers etc.
• Assistance in P&L analysis, budgeting, forecasting and preparation of reporting packs
• Assist with year-end financial audit with external group auditors
• Assistance with the preparation of the consolidated financial statements
• Preparation of payroll tax, FBT, STP, Workers compensation reports

Your Background

To be considered for this Senior Financial / Management Accountant role, you will be a qualified Accountant (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and will meet the following: 

• Experience working in a broad role previously with solid month-end accounting experience clearly evident on your CV
• Relatable industry experience (e.g. construction materials, manufacturing, construction, inventory centric, etc…) will be highly regarded 
• Proactive individual that thrives in a busy and fast-paced environment
• Willingness and ability to remain hands-on whilst being capable of continuously learning and developing to take on more advanced tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to effectively business partner
• Experience using PowerBi will be held in high regard (not a pre-requisite)
