Our client is a large multi-faceted organisation within the sustainability, industrial and recycling sectors.

Owned by a large financial institution that could see the future value in this industry, they are exceptionally stable and well-positioned.

You will work with some very impressive technical mentors, senior business unit leaders, the board and other executives. 

It's an easy organisation to be passionate about, as they are at the forefront of reducing the nation's footprint of waste, a highly topical issue for NSW and the wider country.

The Role

This role supports the Group Financial Controller, CFO, Board and Executive Team with the following tasks:

• Manage cash and liquidity, ensuring effective cash management, reporting, and bank administration.
• Assist with the negotiation and documentation of all financing arrangements.
• Oversee debt facility management, covenant compliance, and reporting.
• Maintain the Investment Management Policy and Liquidity Management Strategy.
• Manage and report on portfolio investments.
• Prepare current and deferred tax calculations for statutory reporting.
• Manage tax compliance, including GST, payroll tax, and annual income tax obligations.
• Maintain group insurance policies, coordinating submissions and reporting.
• Maintain actual and forecast cash flow reporting.
• Conduct strategic investment analysis, modelling, and reporting to inform commercial decisions.

Your Background

• Fully CA or CPA qualified 
• You have very strong treasury management experience, ideally in a large complex organisation ($200m +). This will include experience managing and reporting on the liquidity position of the organisation in previous roles.
• You are a tenured & experienced Accountant with well over 10 years of experience.  Able to adapt and evolve in a fluid environment.
• You have tax compliance experience on your resume
• Advanced Excel skills including modelling are highly desirable
• You are a confident presenter, credible in front of a board and senior-level executives. This means exceptional communication skills are a must!
